Ask any graphic designer their favorite social media platform and I can almost guarantee with absolute certainty their answer will be Instagram. From day one, the photo-focused platform found and cemented its place in the hearts of the aesthetic obsessed among us. When the platform introduced Instagram Stories, a clear (and bold) copycat move that borrowed more than a few features from Snapchat, the same graphic-driven group was once again in love.

Internet trends come and go, but much like the wind, their power can be a force to be reckoned with. If you've been anywhere near a computer or TV in recent days, you've seen that Pokemon Go has joined the viral ranks, a social seat of power previously held by the likes of the Ice Bucket Challenge, the Dress (the black/blue vs white/gold battle that divided friends and family around the world), and Left Shark. And as was the case with these vastly viral moments, brands and publishers alike are again rushing to their computers to create content, any content, to take advantage of this Poke-moment. As much as we understand the temptation to ride the viral wave, it's sometimes easy to get swept away by the tide. Here's our PR Pokedex of tips to master these moments: read more >

If your company publishes a blog post and nobody is around to read it, does it make a sound? Unlike the proverbial tree, the answer to this one is clear. Content without an audience is of no use to anyone, least of all your content strategy. When it comes to posting content, the obvious goal is to attract as many readers as possible. With new self-publishing platforms like LinkedIn Pulse and Medium arising at every turn, however, driving eyeballs isn't exactly textbook. This week's Sixty For Social explores these two long-form blog post opportunities and how to stand out in the crowd. read more >

And that's before you even consider the marketing opportunities available to brands. read more >

We've said it before and now we're going to say it again: the Internet loves a good multiple choice. The ongoing success and popularity of polls and online quizzes has made that clear, and at this point, if you haven't used them in your marketing, you're running out of excuses.
